    Job Description

    This position drives Toyota & Lexus vehicles to various staging areas throughout the facility to ensure efficient processing. Tasks include gassing the vehicles, pulling protective plastic material off of the vehicles, and supplying them to accessory installation and pre-delivery/shipping processing departments. Drivers provide critical quality inspection of each vehicle throughout the process. The driver population at our production centers play an important part in ensuring the efficiency of each of the departments by working productively to make sure vehicles are supplied to each area as quickly as possible up to the final step where vehicles are parked ready for pick-up by car-haulers for delivery to dealerships. Drivers also cross-train as needed in accessory and production departments to provide fill-in and support as needed.

    Job Requirements

    1. Must have a valid Florida drivers’ license and an excellent driving record.
    2. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma/equivalent required.
    3. Must be able to operate standard transmission and have experience working with various tools such as hand tools, air tools, torque wrenches; automotive or other relevant mechanical experience preferred.
    4. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs at & above shoulder height throughout the day. Able to work on concrete & asphalt surfaces, standing & walking, for the bulk of work hours. Full range of motion to inspect and assess all types of vehicles.
    5. Willingness and ability to cross train to work in all phases of final inspection as well as other areas as needed.
    6. Must be able to read, understand and consistently apply TMS and SET installation procedures. Must have an eye for detail and be production oriented.
    7. Must be highly motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team production environment.
    8. Must be able to easily adapt to changing weather conditions and tasks.
    9. Must be willing to work overtime as needed, including weekends.
    10. Must have the ability to be punctual and have excellent attendance.
    11. Must be able to pass background check requirements under Federal & State laws as it pertains to Port facility access.
    12. Ability to work at multiple locations in Jacksonville periodically upon request based on production needs preferred (Pritchard Road and Talleyrand Ave locations).
