    Job Description

    The JM Family Talent Acquisition (TA) team functions as part of the JM Family HR Operations team. The TA team provides talent acquisition advising, project management, data solutions, TA technology system support and recruiting services to the JM Family business units including: JM Family Corporate, SET Deerfield/Field, Datascan Field, JM Lexus, JM&A Group and Information Technology Services.


    As a key leader on our Human Resources team, the Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of enterprise wide talent acquisition strategies. This position is accountable for managing company-wide efforts to ensure that talent acquisition strategies are developed pragmatically, managed using a data-driven focus and are aligned to our businesses strategies.


    This role provides leadership and consultation at all levels of the organizations to identify and help align people and business strategies for maximum impact. The director will have a proven ability to lead large, complex organizational change initiatives through effective influence-based leadership. The successful person for this role will be a futurist grounded by data, who builds strong partnerships across teams and senior stakeholders to advance the company’s talent needs.



    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Develop and drive short and long-range talent acquisition strategies, and devise effective ways to action on and communicate these strategies to the team, senior management and stakeholders
    • Lead and efficiently deliver strategic, highly visible, cross-organizational projects 
    • Oversee and provide insights into the strategic direction of planning and initiatives related to employer brand marketing, recruiting, onboarding and new hire experiences at JM Family
    • Partner seamlessly with senior leaders translating their talent needs into scalable actions that will impact the way the company finds and engages talent
    • Exemplify JM Family leadership qualities and live our core values for the Talent Acquisition team of professionals comprised of advisors, operational support and other recruiting delivery professionals 
    • Define and maintain the team’s strategy and direction, coach and develop team members and remove roadblocks to their success
    • Leverage HR analytics to assess talent acquisition activities; utilize results to develop, initiate and maintain effective programs to drive improvement
    • Build a strong employer brand for continued talent pipeline development ensuring alignment of internal and external messaging and driving strategic efforts around social media

    Job Requirements

    External applicant job requirements:

    • Minimum of five years of proven successful people leadership experience
    • Minimum of eight years of experience in corporate talent acquisition, human resources or human capital strategy required
    • Consulting or leadership experience in a combination of any of the following areas preferred: talent acquisition, human resources, automotive, strategy, marketing, technology or sales
    • Experience leading a corporate centralized talent acquisition team or function required
    • Demonstrated experience making significant director level, decision, judgments and recommendations
    • Demonstrated abilities in developing strategic plans and initiatives
    • BA/BS degree
    • Experience managing or implementing a Contingent Workforce Management program a plus
    • Demonstrated success in planning and leading at both the strategic and operational level
    • Forward thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
    • Experience making data driven decisions including the ability to locate appropriate data sets and arrange the data in a way that creates a compelling story
    • Ability to create and foster strong cross-functional networks and provide effective consulting.
    • Proven ability to manage and lead projects to successful completion
    • Demonstrated skills with written and oral communications including presentations
    • Works well in a fast-paced environment with multiple/changing priorities and deadlines
