SET’s Vehicle Processing Centers (VPC’s) include 2 Jacksonville, FL sites and 1 Commerce, GA site. The core business hours range from 6am – 4:30pm and the HR team flexes depending on how we can best support the business. SET is looking for a self starting, enthusiastic Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter to fill an immediate opening based out of our Westlake Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) facility in Jacksonville.

    Job Description

    What to Expect:

    HR Generalists on our team are expected to be collaborative partners within our HR team and the business. We also like to have fun! We work closely together in order to apply consistent practices at each of our 4 production locations. This new HR Generalist/Recruiter role will allow you to flex your creativity in building our centralized recruitment function for our VPC’s as well as lead the growing internship program. You will work closely with our HR Specialist to ensure successful onboarding and engagement activities take place including New Hire Orientation. You will also be expected to oversee our individual development programming and tools.

    In this role the HR Generalist will utilize a proactive, consultative approach with customers; provide HR expertise and guidance in the areas of recruitment, associate relations, attendance issues, leave management and leadership coaching while also making recommendations to support business and HR objectives. You will be expected to  apply creative problem solving and data analysis to address business needs and issues while utilizing a cultural filter in decision making. To be successful you must be a team player who demonstrates integrity, ability to influence, initiative, innovation and courage. The HR Generalist must manage themselves and others through change, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.

    Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Onsite resource for associates on basic HR related matters
    • Utilize and suggest technological solutions and advance as a means to provide process improvements
    • New Hire Orientation preparation & orientation
    • Compliant I-9 completion
    • Reporting and analytics
    • Training and education
    • Filing and organization of Westlake & Port HR office
    • Light HR Administrative support
    • Partnership with Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition ensuring proper processes or procedures are followed
    • Recruitment support and centralization for all three VPC locations including;
      • Develop and roll out a centralized recruitment function for our 3 VPC’s
      • Educate hiring managers on recruitment best practices
      • Manage full lifecycle recruiting
      • Proactive Recruitment – leverage social media, trade schools, universities and other resources to source passive candidates
      • Ensure the best candidate experience, recommend enhancements to current experience
      • Utilize current best practices and emerging trends in interviewing techniques
      • Partner with Compensation and local HR Generalist on offer details

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Psychology or equivalent work experience
    • 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources Operations role
    • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, employment law and other government compliance regulations
    • 2+ years experience working a recruiting function including utilizing an ATS system
    • Prior non-exempt or production recruitment experience is a plus
    • Must demonstrate the ability to be an effective talent consultant
    • Demonstrate the capacity to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities while remaining calm and controlled
    • Proven ability to influence all levels of associates
    • Demonstrate prudent judgment when making important decisions by utilizing knowledge of industry best practices and current trends
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to utilize reporting and data for analysis to support business case
    • Experience with facilitating trainings and conducting presentations
    • Ability to commute on a regular basis between our 3 Jacksonville facilities.
    • Travel up to 25% for job fairs, university visits and other company locations.
    • Experience with Behavioral or STAR/Targeted interviewing processes a plus
    • Proven ability to work on teams, multi-task, work within tight deadlines and manage projects to a successful completion
    • Strong organizational and follow up skills
    • Working knowledge of the UltiPro and iCims platforms a plus
