    Job Description

    JM Family is seeking a highly analytical, data-driven individual responsible for driving intelligent solutions and recommendations for the company. The candidate will be responsible for answering questions about current operations, generating insights, building and maintaining reports for all levels of the company. This role will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to help define and create a reporting environment sustainable for actionable-analysis to support the company.



    • Gain and master a comprehensive understanding of operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge for data analysis
    • Investigate and understand internal and external company data sources, partnering closely with Business and Technology teams to develop a deep holistic understanding of business processes and how they influence data
    • Gather, organize, and interpret relevant data and information
    • Review and ensure integrity and accuracy of data though the use of measurement systems analysis or other techniques
    • Prepare and present, with a strong executive presence, written and oral operational analysis reports highlighting variances and performance drivers in a clear, concise and effective manner to technical and non-technical audiences
    • Develop forecasting models and trend analysis
    • May assist in the development of metrics used to drive operational performance
    • Develop or apply tools, as needed, for effectively delivering the analysis to the end users
    • Design dashboards and reports to communicate business trends and opportunities
    • Execute data and root cause analyses, including but not limited to 5 Whys, fishbone, and C&E matrix, to identify opportunities for improvement of workflow processes and data infrastructure
    • Provide training or coaching to peers and end users in the use of reporting, data, and analytic tools
    • Develop and document clear functional requirements for reporting and data analysis projects
    • Educate stakeholders on the value of data-driven decision making and use of data analytics to improve performance
    • Interact effectively with co-workers and clients at all levels of the organization and facilitate strong working/client relationships
    • Maintain an inquisitive attitude, willingness to learn, and have a strong commitment to teamwork
    • May help to produce ad hoc data and reports. May assist in implementing or developing systems to capture business operation information.
    • Perform other job duties as assigned



    Job Requirements


    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science required, Statistics or any related field, Master’s degree preferred
    • 8+ years’ experience in reporting analytics, business intelligence, or comparable experience
    • Proficient and highly skilled with ServiceNow Performance Analytics, Reporting, and data. Ability to work with constructive criticism and flexibility, and willing to incorporate suggestions and feedback, independently or collaboratively
    • Advanced data analysis skill and thought leadership
    • Ability to evaluate alternative solutions and/or work-arounds
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to organize technical work while working on multiple tasks and demonstrate excellent planning, time management, and problem solving skills with extreme attention to detail under set deadlines
    • Independent thinker
    • Experienced with MS Office Suite, Google Suite
    • Excellent critical thinking and deductive reasoning ability (i.e. determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples) combined with business acumen
    • Experience in developing data analysis processes and solutions (reports, dashboards, scorecards, etc.)
    • Experience with visual factory and balanced scorecard
    • Genuine excitement and passion for developing and analyzing complicated data sets and converting them into insights that drive business decisions at all levels of the organization
    • Flexible and collaborative, with the ability to change, adapt and grow
    • Familiarity of ITIL required
    • Knowledge of regulatory issues governing IT
    • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain good working relationships
    • Understanding of standards and processes to ensure accuracy and consistency in data used for decision-making, internal/external reporting and communications
    • Knowledge of, or certification in Six Sigma, Lean, or both preferred
    • Infrequent travel as required
