    Job Description

    We are looking for a Payroll Technician that will be responsible for all aspects of the payroll function. This individual will be a team player, have strong communication skills, customer service oriented and have experience in managing multiple tasks throughout their day while maintaining a high level of accuracy in their work and production.


    The ideal candidate is someone who combines exceptional time management abilities, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be highly organized and detail-oriented and possess the ability to effectively work both independently or in a team setting. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly multi-state and multi-location payroll for US employees
    • Review and reconcile payroll data, and resolve any discrepancies as necessary
    • Process associate time and attendance data from the system to payroll and reconcile variances
    • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
    • Provides reports to internal and external customers
    • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
    • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
    • Maintains associate confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years experience working in a computerized payroll processing environment (Ultimate Software preferred)
    • Experience working with a time and attendance software (WorkForce Suite) is a plus
    • Minimum 3 years experience in processing large payrolls for multi-state, multi-subsidiary companies
    • Proficient knowledge & understanding of federal/state compliance laws
    • Thorough understanding of basic accounting principles, general ledger and account reconciliations
    • Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite required
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Skillful at applying business and technical skills to drive innovation and performance improvement
    • Proactively accept and manage change to accomplish positive outcomes
    • Excellent written and oral communication, as well as, good organizational skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships within individuals and teams
    • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment
    • Ability to deliver superior customer service
